More information has been released in a shooting early Sunday morning at the Brush Meadow Apartments on Lake Elmo Drive.

According to Yellowstone County Attorney, Scott Twito, 17yr. old, Hunter Bird Chief is being held on charges of assault with a weapon and criminal endangerment.

Police say officers arrived at the apartments in response to a report of gunshots.

They found two, 17yr. old boys in a field with a revolver.

Police say one of the boys had been shot in the chest by a single .22 caliber round and is currently in ICU.

Bird Chief is being held by Youth Services on a $25,000 bond while the case is awaiting assignment to district court.
