Operation Christmas Child Expects to Ship Boxes

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

Monday was the last day to drop a shoe box at Trinity Baptist Church for Operation Christmas Child, and the organization is hoping for even one shoe box more than last year.

The drive is organized to try to put a smile on the face of children who normally wouldn't receive any Christmas gifts.

Volunteers filled the boxes with items such as toothpaste and toys.

The group reportedly started with 1,700 boxes this morning, and expects that number to grow.
