US Forest Service Explosives Found

Posted: Updated:
NEAR RED LODGE -

One community can breathe easier now that federal agents have recovered all of the stolen explosives taken from the US Forest Service.

Back in April near Red Lodge, 559 pounds of explosives along with detonating cord and cast boosters disappeared from a storage facility.

ATF Agent Ken Bray won't say when or where agents found the explosives and also no one has been arrested.

"We know there was a lot of anxiety, a lot of worry especially in the Red Lodge community, understandably so that these items were stolen and they were missing. So from a public safety aspect we thought it was important to come out and reassure the public, let them know we have all the items back in custody, there is no public safety hazard," says ATF Agent Ken Bray.

The ATF is continuing with its investigation. As soon as we have more information, we will bring it to you.
