National Nurse Practitioner Week

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

It's National Nurse Practitioner Week, and it is a great time to honor those who take care of patients in the hospitals.

Nurse practitioner, Sam Malinowski, says the difference between a nurse and nurse practitioner is education preparation and a master's degree. She also says nurse practitioners get clinical training for making diagnosis and treatment.

"I think it's always important to celebrate things in life, and we always have potlucks, and so we're having a potluck today," said Malinowski.

She says nurse practitioners in the clinic have been seeing a lot of upper respiratory tract infections followed by the flu.
