BILLINGS -

Governor Steve Bullock encourages all Montanans to stay healthy this flu season.

On Tuesday, the Governor walked into a Billings Walgreens, pulled up his sleeve, and got a flu shot. Earlier in 2013, the Governor released his "Big Sky. New Horizons. A Healthier Montana." According to statistics, nearly 36,000 Americans and 100 Montanans die every year fro the flu. "Today I got my flu shot, because every Montanan needs to do so. We put out our health improvement state earlier this year. A piece of that is really taking about 34% that we have getting up to 60% in the next five years," Governor Bullock said.

Governor Bullock said annual vaccinations are the safest and most effective way to prevent influenza infections.
