A Miles City man is dead after a rollover accident west of Pompeys Pillar Monday.

According to the Yellowstone County Coroner, 65-year-old Clayton Patrick Coles died of blunt-force trauma to the head, after he crashed into a guardrail, and rolled on Interstate 94 around 9:30 AM.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, Coles was thrown from his pickup, and was laying in the road when responders arrived. It's unknown if Coles was wearing a seat belt during the crash. Trooper David Munson reports the road's slick conditions may have been the cause of the crash.
