healthcare.gov Concerns

MONTANA -

Montana's Insurance Commissioner is set to meet with federal officials in Washington over what the government is doing to fix the marketplace website.

Montana is one of 36 states using healthcare.gov for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare.

Monica Lindeen says she wants to know what went wrong and tell leaders the system needs to be fixed as soon as possible.

The site launched October 1st, and all policies purchased by December 15th will go into effect on January 1, 2014.

Lindeen is troubled because the site is still not working a month-and-a-half before the deadline.

Prior to her role as commissioner, Lindeen and her family founded one of Montana's first IT companies.

She says if the problem were an easy one to fix, it would be taken care of by now.
