Alleged Nurse Impersonator in Court

HELENA -

The alleged nurse impersonator, who admitted to forging her husband's signature for a $27,000 home equity loan, withdraws her guilty plea in court.

32-Year-Old Angela Corson Smith of Billings, who is also charged with impersonating a nurse at a local hospital, changed her plea on Monday during her scheduled sentencing hearing.

The change comes after the rejection of her plea agreement which required her to pay $120,000 in restitution, and would have dismissed her seven other charges.

Prosecutors say she was charged with three schemes where she lied about her health, work and family for money.

US District Judge Sam Haddon set a new trial date for January 2, 2014.
