City College Celebrates Name Change

BILLINGS -

City College in Billings celebrated its first anniversary under its new name Thursday. About a year ago, the College of Technology changes its name to City College at MSU-Billings. Today's celebration looked back at the accomplishments of the past year, such as expanded student health, library, and academic services.

Dean Marsha Riley says, "We're looking at being a 2 year institution that has everything that a student would want. So for example, perhaps students would want to get their 2-year degree towards transfer, and then move on to MSU Billings to complete a baccalaureate degree. Or maybe a student wants to get an associate's degree that's intended for them to go straight to work."

City College also graduated record numbers of students the last two years, and is looking forward to another good year.
