Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

Billings Police say they've made an arrest in a shooting, which happened Sunday morning.

Police say they arrested a 35-year-old from Billings who goes by the name of Lorne Bearcomesout and identified the victim as 32-year-old Misael Santiago.

He was arrested after police were called to North 24th Street Sunday morning for a report of a person lying in the driveway. When officers arrived, they say they found the body of Santiago, who had been shot in the chest. Officers say neighbors reported hearing gunshots around 2:30 Sunday morning.

Bearcomesout has prior charges from May for assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, and criminal endangerment. Court documents show he attacked his common-law wife and pointed his handgun at other people at the residence in May.

He is charged with deliberate homicide and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence. Police say the suspect and victim knew each other, but police don't yet know a motive.
