Protest Held Outside Senators' Offices

BILLINGS -

A Save America rally was held outside the offices of Senators Max Baucus and Jon Tester this afternoon. The rally was held by the Montana Tea Party to protest government spending and an increase in the debt ceiling, not just against the government shutdown. The protesters describe themselves as concerned citizens who want common sense fiscal policy to help Montana, and the nation as a whole.

"You know, Montana is number 49 for average economy in the country, and that's just above Alabama," says protester Eric Olsen. "So Montana especially concerns us, because we keep throwing taxes on these poor working-class people, and they can't afford it."

About a dozen people attended the rally. They hope is will encourage people to educate themselves on the budget issues facing the nation and the state.
