Good Earth Market Hosts Local Producer Fair

BILLINGS -

The local producer fair kicked off this morning at Good Earth Market.

Twenty of Good Earth Market's 121 regional producers gave the community a taste of their products. Organizers said 30% of what Good Earth Market sells is produced in Montana and northern Wyoming. General Manager of Good Earth Market, Perry McNeese said it's a great way for both members and non-members to learn where their food comes from.

"This gives them a chance to visit first-hand with the producers and the growers, so that they can ask them questions, know more about their farming practices. It helps bring awareness to additional local food. A lot of non-members come today. It's open to the public. It gives them a chance to see what's available from the Montana area," McNeese said.

Organizers said the co-op's next local producer fair is scheduled for January.
