Chamber of Commerce Trip To China

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

This is the third year in a row the Billings Chamber of Commerce has offered an international awareness trip to China.

It is an eight-day trip to learn about their economy, history, tourism, and how they do business. They will spend three days in Beijing, and several days in Shanghai.

Travelers will learn about different industries, and how China markets and distributes certain products.

The Chamber's Director of Operations, Jennifer Reiser, says past trips have been a hit with attendees, and this year should prove to be no different.

"They highly recommend it to their friends. It's a great value. This trip is something that you know sometimes China is not necessarily a place people would want to travel to on their own. So, it's a great opportunity to go with a group," said Reiser.

The Chamber is exploring opportunities for a different country next year. You can learn more at www.billingschamber.com.

Streets that run for several blocks, without a single street light. It is a dark reality many residents throughout the Magic City face when the sun goes down. Leo Robinson lives on Monad Rd., east of 24th Street. He said if street lights were placed on Monad, safety for everyone would improve. Terry Smith, City Traffic Engineer, said the city is more than willing to work with anyone, on any street, which lacks street lights.
