A Billings man charged with raping a girl nine years ago was arraigned in court Friday.

Leslie Ernst is charged with sexual intercourse without consent, stalking, and privacy in communications. Court documents indicate the victim met Ernst at an online chat room in 2004.

After talking to him over the phone, Ernst coerced the victim to go to his house. The report says when she tried to leave he grabbed and raped her. The victim reported Ernst continued to harass and stalk her over the years and she got a restraining order. Court documents report the offenses were committed between November 2004 and August 2013.
