KULR-8 Will Have New Owner

Cowles Montana Media Company, a subsidiary of Cowles Company, announced the purchase of seven television stations owned by Max Media of Montana. The stations are KULR-TV, Billings (NBC), KTMF-TV, Missoula (ABC/FOX), KTMF-LD, Kalispel (ABC/FOX), KWYB-TV, Butte (ABC/FOX), KWYB-LD, Bozeman (ABC/FOX), KFBB-TV, Great Falls (ABC/FOX), KHBB-TV, Helena (ABC/FOX) and their digital channels. The purchase is subject to approvals from the Federal Communications Commission. The transaction is expected to close on or before December 1, 2013.

Cowles Montana Media Company:

Cowles Montana Media Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cowles Company, a private, family-owned media, forest products, and real estate Company, based in Spokane, Washington. The Cowles Company owns and operates The Spokane Spokesman-Review as well as NBC television stations in Spokane, Yakima, and Kennewick, Washington.

Max Media of Montana Company:

Max Media of Montana operates as a television broadcast group based in Missoula, Montana and operates as a subsidiary of Max Media LLC, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
