Veterans Prepare for Honor Flight

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

In two weeks, nearly 87 World War Two veterans will fly to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorial built in their honor.

Sunday, many of the veterans reviewed their itinerary, discussed their medical arrangements, and asked questions about the flight.

The October flight departs Billings on October 13th, at 7:30 AM, from Billings Logan International Airport. Organizers say nearly 105 veterans are signed up for future spring flights.

Honor Flight organizer, Bill Kennedy, says each flight costs nearly $155,000. The next spring flight still needs about $120,000 to send the veterans to D.C.
