BILLINGS -

People gathered for Volkswagen of Billings' third major March of Dimes fundraiser Sunday.

The non-profit organization is dedicated to helping mothers have full-term pregnancies and conducts research to have healthy babies. The event had both a car show and brewing contest.

"People love cars as you can see there's almost 70 entries, all kinds, 20s and 30s, 30s and 40s, 50s and 60s," said Michael Morgan, Volkswagen of Billings General Manager. "And what we decided to do is not only do something for a great charity, but do something for the community."

"It's important for Bones to do stuff like this to show support for the community, and also to promote a good cause," said Pete Oldenburg, who works at Bones Brewing Pub and Eatery. "Volkswagen Billings is doing a lot of stuff for March of Dimes, so that's really what we want to do is to get the message out there, and make people aware of it."

This is just one of the fundraising events Volkswagen has thrown this year. Morgan says he hopes to raise $40,000 for the March of Dimes by the end of this year. Saturday's event will end at Bones Brewery at 8 PM, where they will announce the winners of the brewing contest.
