BILLINGS -

Volkswagen of Billings will hold their third major March of Dimes fund-raising event Saturday.

The March of Dimes Organization helps mothers have full-term pregnancies and researches the problem that threaten the health of babies. Supporters said it's a fun way to help families in need. Volkswagen spokesperson and car show organizer, Laraine Porrazzo, said they are still looking for more people to show their vehicles and judge the different pumpkin brews on Saturday. "It feels good to be a part of the March of Dimes. We are helping babies live stronger healthier lives. Not only are we helping babies, but we're helping families, and it's for the Montana Chapter. So, we're helping local families, and it feels really good, and it's very special for us to be a part of it," Porrazzo said.

Porrazzo said the dealership hopes to raise $40,000 for March of Dimes by the end of the year. If you would like to check out the car show and brewing contest, it takes place at the dealership on Saturday. Festivities will wrap up at 5:00 PM with entertainment and an award presentation at Bones Brewing. For more information you can call 406-655-7500.

Streets that run for several blocks, without a single street light. It is a dark reality many residents throughout the Magic City face when the sun goes down. Leo Robinson lives on Monad Rd., east of 24th Street. He said if street lights were placed on Monad, safety for everyone would improve. Terry Smith, City Traffic Engineer, said the city is more than willing to work with anyone, on any street, which lacks street lights.
