Plane Crash Report Under Review

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

The report on the Billings teen's plane crash in Meeteetse Wyoming in August is under review in Washington, DC. An NTSB investigator says he's finished with his report and it should be released in a few weeks. He says there didn't appear to be any problems with the airplane and that the cause was probably pilot error.

17-year old McKenzine Morgan crashed the plane she was flying in rough terrain northwest of the abandoned mining town of Kerwin on August 20th. The NTSB says she ended up about 70 miles west of her destination. McKenzie was able to get out of the plane on her own and was picked up by hunters who took her by horseback to rescuers.
