Reunion for RMC Aviation Program

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

The Aviation Program at Rocky Mountain College is hosting an all aviation class reunion.

The event goes hand-in-hand with RMC's 25th Anniversary of the founding of the Aviation Program.

Graduates from several classes came out to celebrate, and there was a ceremony for the Donald Germeraad Flight Simulation Training Center at Rocky Mountain College Aviation Hall.

Germeraad graduated from Billings Polytechnic Institute, which was later renamed Rocky Mountain College in 1941.

"I can't even tell you how amazing his career was. His name really should be up there with the great pilots of the Japan Space Age in the 1950's and 60's."

Germeraad made a large donation to the school, and was an engineer who worked in NASA on the Space Shuttle Program.

The Aviation Alumni are invited out to the Flight Operations Building between 9:30 to 11 to see the aircraft.
