Allegiant Airlines says delays and cancellations because of a compliance issue are not affecting Billings.

The low cost airline announced Thursday it found a compliance issue with the emergency slides on its MD80 aircraft.

Company officials say they discovered the issue on Monday after passengers had to evacuate from a plane that was leaving Las Vegas. Because of that incident, they decided to look at all their MD80 planes. 30 of the 52 planes were taken out of service. As of today, 15 of those are back in service.

Allegiant officials say they will be getting in touch with those affected by delays or cancellations.
