Man Stalks Teen After Rape

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

Police arrested a Billings man charged with raping a teen girl 9 years ago, who police say then continued to stalk her for years after the rape.

Leslie Dean Ernst faces a count of sexual intercourse without consent, and another for stalking.

In 2004, court documents indicate the victim, who was 17 at the time, met Ernst in an online chat room. After a phone conversation, Ernest persuaded the girl to meet at his house.  The report says when she tried to leave, he threw her on the bed and raped her.
Over the years, the victim reported Ernest harassed her and she even got a restraining order.

A judge set his bond at $50,000.  Ernest is due back in court on September 26th.
