GREYCLIFF -

A Florida man on the run for 12 days with his two children, whom he allegedly kidnapped, was arrested in Greycliff.

According to police, 45-year-old Edward Peters took his two daughters against the wishes of the court ordered guardian. Peters abandoned his vehicle in Michigan and stole a Oldsmobile Bravada. That car was seen in Laurel after stealing gas at the Cenex gas station.

Around 2:30 am Thursday morning, a Sweetgrass County Deputy arrested Peters after finding he and his daughters sleeping in the car at the Prairie Dog State Park in Greycliff.

Peters is being held at the Gallaton County Detention Facility in Bozeman, where they are working with Florida Sheriffs on the extradition process.
