BILLINGS -

BikeNet organizers held their first annual membership drive.

Officials said they hoped to have 250 members by November 14th. The drive started Tuesday at noon. The signup provided new members with a chance to win a free tent or bike. BikeNet Executive Director, Kristi Drake, said she hopes to add to the nearly 37 miles of trails and 18 miles of bike lanes. "Oh, it's a wonderful feeling, and people are so excited about it. There's just nothing wrong with it. It makes our community more vibrant to have the trail system," Drake said.

Kristi reminds everyone Ales for Trails kicks off September 27th. It's held from 5:00 to 10:00 PM at Dehler Park. Contact Kristi if you have any questions at 406-281-1244.
