Governor Bullock Makes Education Tour

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

Governor Steve Bullock stopped by the Magic City on his tour of schools across the state and encouraged students to "Make Montana Proud."

He visited the Billings career center to talk with students in the Jobs for Montana Graduates program, recognized as one of the top programs of its kind in the country.

The governor wants to encourage more programs like it across the state and the establishment of education before kindergarten. He said implementing quality education programs will help get Montana on track with other states around the country.

"We need to make it so that we're not one of only a handful of states that aren't investing in our kids even before they get to kindergarten. So we should have early childhood education," said Governor Bullock.

While on his tour, the governor said he has been urging students to get the most out of their education and understand everything they're learning will apply to the working world.
