Fatal Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Accident

According to the Billings Police Department, a Ford pick-up truck struck a man believed to be in his 70's on Grand and 8th Street West late Wednesday morning.

A male possibly in his 30's driving a Ford F-350 was turning westbound on Grand Ave from 8th street West and hit an elderly male, who was crossing Grand Ave southbound onto 8th Street West. According the Lieutenant Kevin Iffland, the pedestrian died from the collision.

The Billings Police Department is investigating the accident and questioning the driver of the F-350. According to the Billings Police Department, alcohol or drugs does not seem to be a factor in the accident.

The Billings Police Department says westbound lanes of Grand Ave from 8th to 9th Street West will be closed for a couple of hours.
