Yellowstone County Attorney Scott Twito says the man accused of murdering his Great Grandmother is now considered a fugitive.

19-year old Robert Thompson was served with the signed extradition papers Monday in Colorado. Twito says they now have until mid-September to go get Thompson and bring him back to Billings. Thompson is accused of beating and stabbing to death 77-year-old Shirley Lawrence on July 19th. After police arrested Thompson the next day in Denver, officers say he admitted to killing her.
