EVA Project Fundraiser This Weekend

BILLINGS -

This weekend you can have the chance to help save a life through the EVA Project. The organization raises money to get women over 40 who have no insurance free mammograms.

Leona Bascom, a breast cancer survivor, received a free mammogram through the EVA Project.  "Luckily I did go in and it was available for me, and I'm so thankful for that and that's why I encourage other women to, don't let pride, don't let anything stand in your way. Go in and have your mammogram," said Bascom.

David Irion, the President and CEO of St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation, says every woman over 40 should get a mammogram, "Women are busy, they take care of everyone else in the family except themselves so they need constant reminders every year after age 40 get that mammogram."

There will be a fundraiser for the EVA Project Saturday at the Yellowstone Cellars and Winery from 6 to 8 PM. They will be selling a special type of wine and a dollar from every bottle sold will go to the organization.
