Accused Ambulance Thief Hears Charges

A 29-year-old accused of stealing an ambulance, and crashing it, heard his charges in Justice Court Tuesday.

According to court documents, Cody Lee Paine, stole an American Medical Response ambulance from a restaurant on the night of August 3rd. After leading Montana Highway Patrol Troopers on a high-speed chase through Big Horn County, Paine allegedly crashed the vehicle to avoid spike strips. He was charged with felony criminal endangerment, eluding an officer, and driving under the influence. His bail was set at $15,000.
