Encouraging Archery for Women

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

It was an event for ladies Sunday. Cabela's Fall Great Outdoor Days included a seminar on archery.

Women had the opportunity to learn the anatomy of a bow and saw the different kinds of available devices. They were also fitted for a bow to get comfortable with the technique. Organizers say this seminar promotes awareness among women about the sport.

"We're doing it for women, again, just to raise that awareness and make it more comfortable for them so they don't have to come in on their own and feel intimidated," said Ashley Buller, who led the seminar. "It's kind of easier to talk one-on-one and even with another woman that likes to do this sport."

The sport can be done by an entire family. Cabela's second Fall Great Outdoor Days even will be held on August 24th and 25th.
