Construction on Rimrock Rd

BILLINGS -

As summer winds to an end, many are anticipating the start of a new school year.

In just over two weeks, Billings' Public Schools will be back in session. But parents and students at Arrowhead Elementary may have a tougher time than usual navigating the confusing construction along Rimrock Road.

"We just have to practice as adults a little bit more patience. It may take us a little bit more time but really in the end, it's going to be so worth it. And what's nice also about the project is the plan is to have a stop light at the corner of 38th and Rimrock which will definitely ease lots of traffic coming into Arrowhead," said Pam Meier, Principal of Arrowhead Elementary.

Construction is on time and set to finish near the end of October. Until then, one lane will remain open on Rimrock, west of 38th, but going east on 38th will be limited. When construction comes to an end, a new stop light will be in place, as well as sidewalks and trails on Rimrock Road.
