MontanaFair Food Health Inspections

BILLINGS -

Many of us look forward to this time of the year because we want to see what new food there is at the fair. But how safe is it actually to eat?

Health inspectors make sure the cold food stays cold and the hot food stays hot. Every one of these vendors are required to go through health inspections every single morning. They also make sure vendors protect their food.

"They do have a lot of elements to deal with this is true. They're outside, they've got bugs, they've got the sun, they've got wind, they've got rain, but they've been trained properly to deal with that in a safe way," says Anna Lafountain, a Riverstone Health Inspector.

This year, there are five additional hand-washing stations throughout the fair.
