UW Alumni Gather in Billings

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

The University of Wyoming alumni bonded at Dehler Park Sunday over a Mustangs game.

This is the first baseball gathering they have ever had. Organizers say about 40 alumni from the area are attending the event. Alumni members say it gives them a chance to hear what's new at the university while catching up.

"Our graduates graduate with a lot of pride," said Keener Fry, UW's alumni association executive director. "But get busy and start doing their life things and the like, they want to know that the university is still there and wants to stay in touch with them."

Organizers have already planned their next alumni gathering. They say it's a watch party for the Wyoming and Nebraska football game on august 31st at Beef 'O' Brady's on Grand Avenue.
