ObamaCare Website Launches

BILLINGS -

The face of American Health Insurance is getting a makeover. But the Affordable Care Act, also known as ObamaCare, is a complex system. On Thursday, www.montanahealthanswers.com launched in an effort to better inform Montanans on their options.

Beginning October 1st, the health insurance marketplace for Montana will be an online store. Policies and options for several private companies can be compared and then purchased.

22 percent of Montanans are uninsured and eligible, according to the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services.

Billings St. Vincent Healthcare CEO says many patients wait too long to be treated, because they currently don't have insurance.

"Today, many of those folks that are uninsured have to wait until they get so sick that they come to the emergency room for their care," he said. "And it's not good for their health."

You can submit any personal question, and have a human answer you within five days or less on the MT Health Answers website.
