Two State Parks, Counties Under Fire Restriction

BILLINGS -

Officials with Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, as well as officials from two Montana counties, are putting their respective areas under Stage One Fire Restrictions Wednesday.

At Cooney State Park, campfires are now only allowed in designated steel fire grates, and smoking is now only allowed inside a car or a developed site that is cleared of all flammable materials.

At Greycliff Prairie Dog Town, near the town of Big Timber, no campfires or open flames, including smoking, are allowed.

In addition, Carbon and Musselshell Counties are also under similar fire restrictions.
