BILLINGS -

ZooMontana is going way back in time this weekend, a few centuries back in time in fact, for the Montana Renaissance Festival.

A concert kicked off the medieval festivities Friday evening at the Zoo, while a Scottish Highland games, as well as jousting, will take place on Saturday. The fair concludes with a renaissance opera performance on Sunday.

Participants of the fair said Friday they are seeing more people this year.

"It's a huge form of entertainment for people. I certainly know that last year, not too many people came, but this year, I see a lot more people coming, a lot more people in costumes," said Brady Wolfe.

An adult one-day ticket is $15, while a family of four can get in for $35.
