Free Barry Beach Rally Saturday

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

A rally to free Barry Beach will happen Saturday on the Courthouse Lawn.

Organizers say they want to get the message out that there are people advocating for Beach's freedom and that he was wrongfully convicted.

Beach recently was sent back to prison after the state supreme court overruled an appeal that freed beach for more than a year and a half. Beach was convicted of killing Kimberly Neese in 1983. His supporters want the public to be aware of the issues surrounding false confessions and beach's appeal denial.

"We also want to stress the importance of it, just how important it is stand up for another person's freedom," said Andre Pedro, a supporter. "When you know they're innocent and know they haven't been brought to justice - this is the cause. This is what we stand for and this is what is so important for us to share with everybody."

The rally starts at 11 AM and will go until 5 PM on the lawn of the Yellowstone County Courthouse on 217 N. 27th Street.

Susanne Rodell faced a difficult situation. Hail storm damage to her roof led to an insurance claim being filed. Rodell picked a local contractor to fix her roof, but mother nature did not cooperate. While the roofing company was in the middle of fixing her roof, a weekend of rain caused water damage to dry wall and ceilings within the house.
