BBQ For Local Conservation Group

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

A local organization is trying to spread the word about conservation among the state's elected officials.

The Yellowstone County chapter of the Montana Conservation Voters group hosted a barbecue cookout at Veterans Park, near Rocky Mountain College, Thursday night.

Besides local residents, candidates on the upcoming city elections were also at the event.

"We're trying to educate them. Spend time with them, and get them to take a look at what's good for the long-term interest of the people in this state," said Michael Penfold with the Montana Conservation Voters.
