Men Admit to Unlawful Bird Trafficking

Two Crow Agency men charged with conspiracy to traffic in eagles and migratory birds and unlawfully trafficking in migratory birds plead guilty in federal court Wednesday.

Kenneth G. Shane and Douglas Vance Crooked Arm sold or offered to sell hawk, magpie, and gold and bald eagle parts from November of 2008 to March of 2009. Each of the men face possible penalties of up to 7 years in prison. Sentencing is set for October 22nd.
