BILLINGS -

In one year, the wait is over for Mark Guerin.

The Shephard man has one year left until he is atop a transplant waiting list in Colorado. The total bill, however, will be around $50,000. To help cover the cost, his wife Karen Guerin is setting up a benefit.

The event will happen at Pryor Creek Bar in Huntley on August 17th. There will be live music, auctions, food and family-friendly fun from 12 to 6 p.m.

Monetary donations can be made at Western Security Bank, or you can call 406-208-3613 if you have any items to donate for the silent auction. Please visit the 'Mark Guerin Kidney Transplant' benefit page on Facebook for more information.
