Two People Drown in Stillwater River

Two people are dead after drowning in the Stillwater River Friday.

According to the Stillwater County Sheriff, Cliff Brophy, the drowning incidents were unrelated. Brophy reports a one-year-old girl fell into the Stillwater about two miles south of Columbus, and she was swept away. The girls body was later found by two teens.

Shortly after, Sheriff Brophy, reported that a 41-year-old Billings man fell out of his raft on the Stillwater nearly five miles south of Columbus. The man was pulled out of the water, but the men he was with were not able to revive him.
