Annual Homesteader Days This Weekend

Posted: Updated:
HUNTLEY -

July is a busy month for Billings, but don't forget the outskirts of the Magic City for entertainment options.

The Huntley Project Lions Club puts on its annual Homesteader Days this weekend. John Michael Montgomery will be performing live music, and tickets cost thirty dollars. There will be a Beer Garden Friday, but mostly activities for children on Saturday. Lions Club member Dan Krum has been involved with the event for nearly fifty years.

"Well biggest part is...it's a good place to meet friends, and that's why this was started many years ago," he said. "People come back from all over the United States."

New this year is a greased pig race with age divisions. Gates open at 5:30 PM Friday night. The festivities begin at 9:00 AM Saturday, with the cost of the carnival and parade being $2.
