Memorial to be Held for Fallen Firefighter

The remains of the Ekalaka firefighter who died in the Arizona blaze are back in Montana.

Dustin DeFord's remains were flown into Billings Wednesday and taken to a funeral home in Baker. A Stevenson Funeral Home worker said a procession will be held early Saturday morning from Baker to Ekalaka. The procession will be accompanied by nearly 200 firemen with 40 fire trucks. The procession begins at 8:00 AM. Services will be held at the Carter County High School Gymnasium in Ekalaka at 1:00 PM. Burial will later follow in the Beaverlodge cemetery in Ekalaka.
