BILLINGS -

A Montana firefighter was among the 19 killed in the Arizona blaze over the weekend.

The family of 24-year-old Dustin DeFord of Ekalaka said his body has yet to be released. Dustin's mother, Celeste, said she first learned of Dustin's passing on Sunday night from one of his friends. Celeste tells KULR-8 she is still in shock and is spending time with her family remembering all Dustin's great qualities, "he was a fun-loving, energetic, goofball. He always had us in stitches, and he had very high energy. He was serious though. He had a tremendous work ethic, and he was serious about Jesus Christ. He was passionate about sharing his faith with others."

Celeste said the family is trying to plan a memorial service for sometime during the weekend in Ekalaka. Montana Governor Steve Bullock ordered all flags be flown at half staff to remember those lost in the line of duty.
