BILLINGS, Mont. -

Three churches in the Magic City teamed up Saturday for the fourth Citywide Bike Clinic.

The event took place at North Park in Billings' North Side. Organizers say they hope to repair at least 150 bikes, the number of bikes they repaired in 2012.

The event wrapped at around 2 p.m. Besides bicycle repairs, Billings Police were also there to register bikes, in case they are stolen. In addition, there was a free lunch, along with some fun and games for people who attended.

It's often confusing for women to know when and how often to get a mammogram. Now a new study may help clear up that debate. Researchers compared three of the most common recommendations for screening mammography. They found beginning yearly screenings at age 40 would reduce the number of breast cancer deaths by 40%. That's significantly more than guidelines that call for less frequent screenings starting at older ages.

The Yellowstone County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing September 5 to determine whether to raise residential rates by five dollars. The discussion involves increasing the fee charged by the county solid waste disposal district from 15 dollars to 20. The county commission wants to increase the fee because of projected increases in the cost to dispose of the waste.
