BILLINGS -

Community members helped foster children by getting their cars cleaned Sunday.

On June 9 the Menace Motorcycle Club held a car wash with proceeds benefiting the "Blankets and Bears" project. "Blankets and Bears" aims to provide foster children at the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch with bundles, containing a pillow, blanket, and a teddy bear.

Organizer Sean Evans said they have already received generous donations and support from people in the community.

"This is important to me because the kids in foster care - they don't have much. They don't have a family. They don't have people to give each other gifts. They don't have money," Evans said.

Evans said the group's goal for the fundraiser was at least $2,500.

Can you imagine building a hotel by stacking one floor on top of another? That’s what’s happening in Yellowstone. The Park’s lodging concessionaire, Xanterra, tore out hundreds of old cabins in Canyon Village, and started construction this summer on five new lodges to replace them. The new lodges are actually modular jigsaw puzzles.
