Shooting Victims Names Released

BILLINGS -

The Yellowstone County Sheriff's Department reports two people are dead, including 22-year-old Erica Yurian of Worden, who was allegedly shot by 49-year-old Thomas Hilger.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the Bar 406 for suspicious activity around 2 AM Friday. Deputies discovered Hilger sitting in a vehicle. When Hilger displayed a gun deputies fired at him. Hilger was air lifted to a Billings hospital where he later died. Shortly after, deputies located Yurian's body in an alley at the scene.

Sheriff's deputies, Martin Stuart and Tony Watson, have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. Coroner's inquests are both set for a later date to determine the exact causes of death.
