Campaign For Higher Seat Belt Use

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS -

Some law enforcement agencies in the state are keeping extra eyes out on the roads, to encourage safe driving, and the use of seat belts and child restraints. The effort is part of the national Click It, Don't Risk It campaign. A recent survey through the Montana Department of Transportation says seat belt use in 2012 was 76% that's down from an 81% use in 2004. Nationally, 86% of drivers fastened their seat belts. In Montana you can't be pulled over just for not wearing a seat belt. But you can be stopped, if children under 6-years old are not properly restrained. The campaign starts today and goes through June 2nd.

Susanne Rodell faced a difficult situation. Hail storm damage to her roof led to an insurance claim being filed. Rodell picked a local contractor to fix her roof, but mother nature did not cooperate. While the roofing company was in the middle of fixing her roof, a weekend of rain caused water damage to dry wall and ceilings within the house.
