In Justice Court Monday, a Billings man is charged with stabbing his girlfriend and hitting her in the head with a rock.

Court documents indicate 20-year-old John Brown was upset with his mother early Sunday morning, and he tried to convince his girlfriend to commit suicide with him. When his girlfriend tried talking him out of it he stabbed her multiple times in the chest and hit her several times in the head with a rock. When officers arrived, Brown took full responsibility for her injuries. Brown is charged with two felony counts of assault with a weapon. Bail is set at $20,000. He will enter a plea in district court on May 24th.
