The Veterans Treatment Court is a program, which give veterans an opportunity to stay out of prison for DUI's and other misdemeanors.
Now, more than a year later after its start date, two veterans are the first to graduate from the programs in Billings. One of the veterans, Sean Werner, says he couldn't be happier because of the opportunity he was given.
"For me, it's really a big day and this whole thing was really life changing for me. And graduating basic training was huge for me and I thought that was going to be the peak and stuff, but you know, I almost think this tops it... It's just really changed who I am for the better," said Werner.
Veterans in the program have to complete several steps in order to graduate. They have to go through many therapy sessions and drug testing.
